ORDERING LIVE VERSUS ORDERING CERTIFICATES
1. Please note, with all of our butterfly kits, you may order either live caterpillars (live caterpillars available March through to mid-September) or certificates. If you are ordering live specimens, make sure you are ready to use them. All deliveries containing live materials must be opened immediately upon receipt. We are not responsible for live orders that are left unattended.
2. If you are PREORDERING live materials, PLEASE SPECIFY THE DISPATCH WEEK YOU REQUIRE IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF YOUR ORDER FORM. If you are preordering caterpillars for the first two weeks in June, please pre-order at least one month beforehand to ensure availability.) We reserve the right to change the dispatch date, due to either over abundance of orders for one day, or weather conditions
3. If you are a school, and your order arrives at a warehouse, make arrangements to have your living materials handled immediately.
4. If you are not sure, order certificates. Put your certificates in a very safe place. Your original certificate must be returned by post to our office. We cannot redeem certificates by fax or phone.
5. Snails, stick insects, ants, ladybird larvae and earthworms are only sent live (upon receipt of order unless another delivery date is specified).
TIME FRAME FOR ORDERING LIVE MATERIALS
Painted Lady Butterfly caterpillars are supplied with our Butterfly Garden kits at no additional charge. They are commonly found in the UK & Europe and are known as the most common butterflies in the world, as they are a migrating butterfly. Please note, from date of receipt, the caterpillars will develop within three to five weeks (depending on temperature). Please order when it is warm enough in your area to release them when they turn into adult butterflies - usually Spring, Summer and early Autumn. (We dispatch live caterpillars March through to mid-September). Also, observe all school breaks before ordering. You may specify the date of your live order and we will endeavour to dispatch the live materials by Friday of the week you specify. Arrival dates may vary. We are not responsible for orders that do not indicate a dispatch date. Orders sent without a dispatch date will be sent 2-10 days of receiving order (in season). We guarantee two-thirds of your caterpillars will develop into perfect butterflies. Please call if you have any questions.
• Ants are available year round.

• Triops come in dried form and are available year round. They require distilled or boiled tap water.
